Even though Zayn Malik is apparently keen on launching an acting career, he's definitely not easing up on the whole music thing, either. Having just dropped the brand new video for 'Cruel', it's now been confirmed that Zayn's vocals WILL feature on another artists album.
The person who spilled the beans is none other than M.I.A, who confirmed that she and Zayn have been working together over WhatsApp of all mediums. Yep, who would have thought something productive could actually come from WhatsApp?
"We just basically did it while I was here, because I've been here for a week-and-a-half." she told Entertainment Weekly in India, "We've just been going back and forth on, you know, WhatsApp."
Revealing that she and Zayn actually have the same publishers, M.I.A explained: "We have the same publishers and they wanted me to demo some songs for Zayn. Before I started writing properly my own stuff [for AIM], I was thinking maybe I'll write for other people instead.
Adding that she's had plans to work with Zayn for a while now, M.I.A said: "I really wanted to write a song for Zayn….We had a couple people in common. And that's how it came about. I didn't really approach him for my own record until later on. First, I thought I wanted to try writing a song for him."
Ooh, so when will this blessing hit our earholes? Soon, please.
