They're finally kicking off their rescheduled Anthology tour in a couple of weeks (September 12th in Manchester, people); and now Dougie Poynter's confirmed the McFly boys are working on brand new music now the whole McBusted thing's done. HOORAH.

Yup - Danny, Dougie, Harry and Tom are officially gonna start work on the follow-up to 2010's Above The Noise (SIX YEARS AGO), and apparently they're gonna start 'writing stuff on tour.' All very exciting, really.

Chatting to The Sun Online backstage at V Festival, Dougie said: "There will be new McFly music. There's a few ideas floating around already, we'll hopefully be writing stuff on tour.

"McFly will always be there. They're my family, we're all brothers."

This all comes after the lads were recently forced to postpone their Anthology tour due to Harry Judd's spinal injury. At the time, he said: "I'm absolutely gutted that we've had to postpone the tour. I've honestly tried everything to make it work, but I'd never want to do a tour where I wouldn't be able to give you guys the 110% performance you deserve every night.

"I'm going to do all the rehab possible to get myself ready to do the most epic shows we've ever put on."

Thoughts on that, then? Well up for some new McFly music? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape and don't forget to like us on Facebook while you're at it, yeah? TA MATE.
