It's not the greatest news for Ariana Grande to be hearing at the moment, but, it looks like she's going to have to get her legal team in order ASAP, because she's being sued over one of her biggest hits.
The song that's causing all this drama is 'One Last Time', which a songwriter called Alex Greggs reckons is a bit of a rip-off of his 2010 track 'Takes All Night.' Deciding to lawyer up about the issue, Alex has filed a lawsuit against Ari and the writers of the track. Eek.
E! News were the ones to obtain documents of Alex's official complaint, with reports speculating that he's reportedly seeking $150,000 per infringement: "Takes All Night bear similarities so striking that it is highly likely the works were not created independently of one another"
The document continues: "Although the rhythm of the two compositions may differ to accommodate the prosody of the lyrics, there is substantial similarity on the most important rhythmic placement of the pitches on strong melodic and harmonic beats."
We know you guys are going to fascinated to hear whether they songs *actually* sound similar at all, so we've put them below for your listening pleasure.
