The relationship between One Direction fans and Louis Walsh has soured a fair bit recently, and some new comments he made concerning the band's attitude and their hiatus aren't exactly going to heal any old wounds.
Right, so. It all started with Louis complaining about the X Factor feeding into contestant's egos: "We create monsters in the music business – they only become famous because they've been on the show and we got you those songs," he told The Telegraph.
Clearly pretty pissed off with someone in particular, he explained: "They're lucky f**kers, but some get a sense of entitlement and believe the hype. Too many artists appear to forget where they came from."
This is where it all gets a bit clearer. When asked whether his comments could apply to One Direction, Louis responded: "Yeah, I would say so. Some of them believed the hype and then everyone around them – publicists, agents, managers – were afraid to tell them because they were making so much money out of them."
Sticking the knife in and then really giving it a twist, Louis also claimed that One Direction's career is 'over', and that their reunion will never happen: "It's not going to happen, nope. No, definitely not."It's over, they had their run, all over. It's done and it was an amazing career."
Um, fascinating insight Louis, but, unfortunately, it completely contradicts all the times the boys have promised they'll reunite soon. So yeah, we're just gonna fling our trust behind that.
Yikes, that's a lot of drama to digest at once.
