If you caught Justin Bieber's BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge yesterday, you'll know it was bloody brilliant (his cover of 2Pac's 'Thugz Mansion' being an absolute highlight.) What wasn't quite so brilliant, though, was his small talk between songs.
Yup - Clara Amfo off of Radio 1 was hangin' out with Justin at his LA home havin' a chinwag about his choices as radio -types tend to do. The thing is, though, Justin was *not* playin' ball and sort of made the whole thing awkward.
Like, really awkward.
Clara's presenter pal Greg James (as well as loads of listeners) picked up on Justin's one-word answers and awkward silences, tweeting: "What a way to start #R1LiveLoungeMonth but I hope there's a stiff drink for @claraamfo after that interview. She handled it brilliantly" [sic]; but now Justin's put the whole thing down to nerves and apologised for not being on form.
Taking to Twitter, Biebs explained: "I don't usually get nervous but tonight I was thrown off and I was. Sorry about that. Really wanted to be my best. Hope u all had fun."
To be honest as cringe as it actually was to listen to 'Thugz Mansion' totally makes up for it and we could listen to it on loop for the rest of time. So yeah.
