What with Calvin Harris announcing his new single 'My Way' and Ariana Grande teasing a new track of the same name on Snapchat, everyone put two and two together and assumed the pair had collaborated. Turns out it's all just a big old coincidence, though, 'cos Ariana's now denied they've worked together and admitted they're 'two different songs.'
Shame, but also hyped for both.
ADDRESSING THE RUMOURS on Snap (very much with Calvin at Ryan Seacrest's studio), Ariana said: "They're not the same song. That sucks, guys. Sorry." Calvin then piped up: "Unless it is the same song," which is just too confusing for us to go into rn.
Ari elaborated: "I've been seeing everyone wondering if it's me on the Calvin Harris song 'My Way' and I really am sorry to disappoint, but it's not. They're two different songs, and I'm sorry about that.
"But how good would it have been if it were our song?"
HMM. Are we convinced? Are they having us on? Gah, we don't even know any more.
Oh, and in case you're wondering this is what Ariana's 'My Way' supposedly sounds like:
Basically still bloody brilliant.
