The combo of pop’s coolest lady with folk’s farmer-iest guitar strumming lads might seem like a bit of an odd one, but Rita Ora has revealed that she would love to collaborate with Mumford and Sons for a Best of British kinda mashup.
Dear Musical Gods, WE NEED THIS TO HAPPEN. Love, Sugarscape.
Chatting to Harpers Bazaar, Rita told them she’s their biggest fan. "I would love to do a collaboration with them. Coming from the UK feels like the coolest thing in the world right now."
If the collaboration were to happen, it won’t be the first time that she’s dipped her urban toes in indie waters, as she also supported Coldplay on their tour recently.
We can see it now. The video will be filmed in a barn. Mumford and his lovely sons will be dancing round arm in arm to Cotton Eye Joe while Rita does some breakdancing on a milking stool.
Rita Gorgeousface told the magazine that apart from having much better hair and looking a lot less sweaty on stage, she ain’t so different from Coldplay front man, Chris Martin.
"Performing in front of 50,000 people was such a great confidence-booster. "Me and Chris Martin are similar on-stage - we don't do the same thing twice. It made me feel like I could take over the world."
Another collaboration we would LOVE to hear is Union J and Chris Maloney's nan. Obv.
