We're not gonna lie - there was a time when if you'd told us we'd be writing about Craig David in 2016 we've have laughed in your face. But who's laughing now, eh? Here we are bopping round the office to Craaaaaaig Daaaavid's cover of Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself' from the BBC Radio 1Xtra Live Lounge without a care in the world. Wahey.
Yup - it's no secret that Justin's a bit of a Craig fan after he sampled 'Fill Me In' on his Journals track 'Recovery'; so now he's back with his new single 'When the Bassline Drops' Craig thought he'd put a garage spin on 'Love Yourself' like it's the year 2000.
While Justin's busy telling us which of his singles he can't stand (no but seriously WHUT?), Craig thought he'd get those vocal chops of his round the current UK number 1. Even our mama likes Craig, and let us tell you now she does NAHT like everyone.
Check out the super-freaky-fly cover below, yo.
BO SELECTA indeed.
What d'ya make of that, then? A bit...unexpected? Unexpectedly BRILLIANT? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, please and uh-thank you.
