Not gonna lie - we never really thought we'd be writing about Craig David in 2016 but we very much are *and* we're bloody loving it. His Big Narstie collab 'When the Bassline Drops' is blowin' up, his version of Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself' went viral and now he's only gone and covered Little Mix and Jason Derulo's massive new tune 'Secret Love Song.'
As we sit about waiting for the official music video (TOMORROW, people), Craig hit Capital FM's fancy live session studio thingy to give us his own rendition of the girls' latest single. And who know it'd work as a frickin' UK garage track like it's 2001 or some shit?
It's no secret that we tend to go up to random commuters on the bus asking 'WHY CAN'T I KISS YOU ON THE DAAAAAANCEEFLOOOR?', so it sort of goes without saying that we're kinda obsessed with Craig's take on the track. It'd basically fit right in on his 2000 album Born to Do It, which is something we never thought we'd say.
Check out Craig's cover below, yo.
Oh, it's TOO GOOD.
What d'ya make of that, then? As good as the original? Ooh, controversial. Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, if that's more your vibe. Cheers.
