As much as we're loving Little Mix and Jason Derulo's 'Secret Love Song' music video, one thing's been bugging us for a while. Are we getting a vid for the girls' 'Secret Love Song Pt. II' sans Derulo or what?
Basically that footage emerged of Jade Thirlwall lip-syncing the lyrics of Pt. II on the shoot, before Jason was forced to deny those 'offensive' claims he was against the original plan to cast LGBTQ couples in the video. So what's actually going on here, then?
We thought we'd better catch up with Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne to get the 411 straight from them.
Asked if they actually shot a video for Pt. II as rumoured, Jesy confirmed: "No, I wish we had," with Leigh-Anne adding: "Have you seen it on YouTube? Someone's made their own video of it about the gay couple...that's what the idea was for us to do in the first place."
So why didn't they, eh? "We never had time to do it. It would've taken too long to shoot a story and it was such a shame. We really wanted to do that."
Perrie explained: "All those kind of storylines fit better with Pt. II. Obviously when Jason came onto the track it sounds more of a relationship with a girl and a boy and it was kind of like a duet with a boy and a girl at first.
"But our version we would have loved to have done a video like that."
LOOK, here they are saying those exact words:
Ah well - at least we have the fan made version, eh?
What d'ya make of that? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box thing below, if that's more your vibe. Ta.
