One Direction have proved they are a band of brothers more than ever this weekend, reuniting for the first time in a year to support Louis Tomlinson's immense bravery as he performed new single 'Just Hold On' for the very first time, just days after mother Johannah's death.
Louis' performance had been a long-standing plan and it is reported that it was mum Jay's dying wish that he go on with the performance this weekend. So he did just that and took to the stage for an incredibly moving rendition with DJ Steve Aoki.
But Louis didn't have to do it alone and his friends and family turned out in their numbers to support him and sister Lottie backstage. That number included close pal Lou Teasdale and the 1D boys; Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, who flew back overnight from New York especially to be there.
Naturally Tommo nailed his performance and although you could see it was extremely emotional thing to do, Simon Cowell - who was visibly moved - perfectly summed up the moment as the crowd and X Factor judges gave Louis a standing ovation.
"Louis, I have to say something to you. I've known you for six years - what you've just done, and the bravery that took - I just respect you so much as an artist and as a person," Simon said.
"Your Mum was so looking forward to tonight and I know she was watching down on you. You've done her proud. Steve - you're a great friend. Thank you."
With an outpouring of support from friends and fans alike, Louis then took to Twitter to recognise it and pay a tribute to his mum.
All our love to Louis and his family right now <3
