Singer gets whisked away by actor old enough to be her father

Guess who's going to be rubbing suncream in to Britney's shoulders when she jets off on holiday this week. Nope, not a random pap bloke, or the father of her kids, K-Fed. Britney is reportedly heading off on holiday with actor Mel Gibson!

The unlikely pair are heading to Costa Rica where they will vacation with the singer's father and Gibson's wife. "They're just going away for a few days to relax," says a source.

Mel Gibson, who has a holiday home over there, befriended Britney in the midst of her meltdown and thinks that a break away ill do her good. "Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible," a source said.
