Pop makes a come back at the Brit Awards Nominations Ceremony

Kelly Osbourne and Reggie Yates announced this year's Brit Award nominees last night, and pop came out on top!

With rock music dominating for the last two years, it seems like pop is making a come back. Take That, Mika and Leona Lewis were all nominated for four awards, while Mark Ronson, Kate Nash, The Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs bagged themselves three each.

Take that are favorites to scoop lots of awards on the night, which will take place on 20 February. Their nominations include Best British Group, where they will be up against competiton from Girls Aloud, Kaiser Cheifs and The Arctic Monkeys.

Leona Lewis will be battling against Kate Nash, KT Tunstall and Bat For Lashes for the crown of Best British Female. The X Factor star had a fantastic year in 2007, when her album Spirit became the fastest-selling British debut album ever, shifting a staggering 375,000 copies in its first week!

Amy Winehouse has one nomination - her cover of The Zuton's Valerie with Mark Ronson is up for Best British Single. Despite Back To Black being the biggest-selling album of 2007, it can't qualify for a Brit because it was released back in 2006.

We can't wait till February to find out who the winners are. And no doubt there will be heaps of drama and gossip from misbehaving celebrities on the night !
