Win a great read and a brand new ipod nano ... what more could a girl wish for!

We're really excited by Luisa Plaja's new book Split by a Kiss - so much so that we're giving away an engraved ipod nano to one lucky winner and ten copies of the book to runners up!
Split by a Kiss is all about trying to fit in and the risks we take when we're faced with a dilemma. The story centres around Jo who's just moved to the States with her mum and her new circle of friends at school.
Jo's never been part of the cool crowd, but to her surprise she's welcomed by the IT girls at her college and soon finds herself involved in all sorts of tricky situations - including one with the school hottie Jack.
But soon Jo finds that living up to her new status means giving up too much of her own identity and she's forced into a situation she doesn't want to be in...
If you want a chance of winning a copy of the book, just tell us about your favourite read of all time and you could also be in with a chance of bagging a brand new ipod nano, which will be engraved with your own message!
Split by a Kiss is available to buy from Waterstone's stores or Waterstones.com

my favourite read was the twighlight series and i can't wait til the next one comes out in august! I must admit i don't normally read (unless on holiday) i read the first book on holiday and it was amazing. I couldn't wait to get home so that i could buy the next one :D It is a romantic book but it also a book which literally kept me on the edge of my seat. It's one of those books which is just so amazing that you put yourself in the characters shoes and also wish that you knew the main male character Edward. basically the books are about a girl who loves a vampire but obviously they can't really be together seeing as he is very attracted to her blood.... will he be able to fight the temptation of drinking her blood? will she ever fulfil her dream of joining edward as a vampire? it is amazing !!!! (it's also supposed to be coming out in the cinema soon as well) xoxo

My Favourite Read is the "Mates,Dates..." books written by Cathy Hopkins, especially "Mates,Dates & Portabello Princesses"! All the books are about a group of teenage girls, Nesta, Izzie Lucy & TJ, who all live in London. I love these books so much because they are a classic chick flick kind of book and it gives you such good advice because you can relate to them so easily. They are also full of laughs and tears, i was constantly hooked from start to finish on all the books!

My favourite books are the Twilight series. I know a lot of people are bound to say it because they are such good books! Even more they made a big difference to me becausse i hadn't read a book properly in about 6 years until the first book and i only read that on the off chance that i thought it might be goodb because loads of girls in my year were reading it so i thought i'd give it ago. i ended up reading al three books in 3 days! Definately an achievement. I'd buy one start reading it straight away then not put it down until i'd finished sometime 4 or 5 in the morning! They seriously are brilliant books and i'm so excited about the 4th installment breaking dawn!

My favourite book of all time is just listen by Sarah Dessen, i did an essay about her after reading the book someone like you and found out lots of interesting things about her. Then i went into the shop to look for a book she wrote called lullaby however the man pointed out she had just written a new one. It is an amazeing story about a girl falling in love with a boy and then he influences the way that she thinks about life, just by showing her how to listen. Emma xxx

My favourite book would have to be Empress Orchid by Anchee Min. It's not a typical teenage read but I found the character of Orchid to be really relatable and it was interesting to read into the world of the Chinese empire. It is rare to find something so beautifully written thats deals with both a fictional and a historical context.

My favorite read of all time has got to be the book called "Lovely Bones." It is one of the most beautiful books of all time. It is about a 14 year old girl who gets raped and murded by a man who lives down her road. Her mum and dad had talked to him once before. The man lured her into and underground house that he built and raped her. He then cut her body up and put in a safe into a sinkhole. She is telling us about her familt growing up as she is watching from heaven. Her brother and sister get married and her grandma and grandad die and they are up there with her. And her dog also dies. Also it is sompulsive, and I read it on holiday and finished it by the end of a weeks holiday. She eventually goes back down to earth in another girls body and meets her love whom she loved in high school and makes love to him. It is the most beautiful books I have ever read...

My favourite book of all time is 'Twilight' it's about vampires but it's a love story aswell there's to other books in the series but that one is definetly the best. Bella Swan moves to the cold town of Forks. She has to go to a new school were she meets a super gorgeous boy called Edward. At first he's really cold and mean. She later falls in love with him but before she discovers he's a vampire and is thirsty for her blood. Super super good, a must read for all teenagers.

The Princess is soon on the run from an evil man determined to steal and rule her kingdom and it is up to the Prince to over come his fears and save her. my favourite book of all time has to be 'Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging' by Louise Rennison. I was unbelievably excited when i read they were turning it into a film. I just love the way that it portrays a teenage girls life completely honestly, and the fact that most of the embarrassing things that happen to the main character, Georgia, actually happened to the author. i laughed out loud countless times when i read it, and in some ways, it really helped me to understand boys! .xoxo

My best read ever is called Demon Theif, by Darren Shan. It's a book about demons, and how their world collides with ours. I thouroughly enjoyed this book because, it was funny, yet exilarating at the same time. It kept me on the end of my seat throughout the book, though it got a bit boring in the middlle. My favorate character is a 3 year old name Art, because nobody knows, except Lord Loss(a character associated with most of the books), that Art is a Demon named Artey in disguise. This is the second book out of a series called The Demonata, which I have only read two of at the moment. The first one is called Lord Loss, and is based on demons aswell as were wolves. This is my second best read, because it is full of practical jokes. It never got boring, all the way through the book. I still preferred Demon Theif, though I can't realy explain why... I hope this wins the comp!! Danii
