In Sugar magazine this month, we reveal the brand new flirt moves...
Playing with your hair is so last year! Check out pages 42-43 of May's issue of Sugar for the latest flirting moves that will help you bag the man of your dreams!
We can reveal right here what the big no-nos are in the dating world! Trust us - we've made the mistakes so you don't have to!

Watch what you wear
Make make an effort with some nice clothes and don't do like Mandy Moore, who completely missed the memo that her boyfriend was going to take her out! Lose the cardie love!
There's no need to let it all hang out but make sure you put the right signals out: by dressing too ' down', you're saying ' I don't fancy you'.

Wear subtle make-up
When applying your lippy don't go overboard. A mega red pout like Christina is great for an A-list event, but remember you want him to want to kiss you!Too much lipstick can make a boy worry about smudging and having to wear it himself (and that's only good if he's Marilyn Manson (eek!)

Don't experiment
Take a leaf from Sarah Harding's book and don't experiment with a new look before you leave the house. It'll be too late before you realise you look absolutely awful and haven't got time to change. You will then spend the rest of the night feeling uncomfortable and unsure about yourself.

Be tactile
OK, so you are ready for the big date, looking glam and feeling good but how do you act when you finally get there? The butterflies are setting in and sometimes when we are nervous we act differently. Peaches ' I don't give a damn' approach might look cool in front of her mates, but that special lad will just think you are being frosty towards him and there will be no chance of a second date!

Tone it down
So there can be too cool and then there can be too keen - Lily Allen is never one to shy away and we love her for! But when it comes to your first date, don't you want to be more lady than ladette? Being too bolshy can scare a lad. Keep calm and try and relax as much as possible!

Focus on him
When it comes down to chat, lads like to talk about themselves - don't let them take control of the conversation completely but do listen (at least for a while! It's good to get a equal amount of football vs shopping in there so try not to be me, me, me! You don't want to come across as someone who is in love with themselves like Paris. Oh another tip: don't wear clothes with your name on them!

Eat!
Going out for something to eat together can be daunting, and there are a couple of things to keep in mind for a seamless dinner. Avoid anything too smelly - fish, garlic, chilli, coffee (a la Nicole Richie) are all a no-no if you are expecting a snog at the end of the night.
Woah that's a lot to remember for your first date but the best tip is to just be yourself. If that's what the guy has fallen for, why change? Relax and enjoy yourself is the best dating tip of all!
