Oh it just warms the cockles doesn't it?
Ever the charitable bunch, One Direction took time out to meet some special fans yesterday afternoon at the Hammersmith Apollo, before their final London performance.
1D are ambassadors for children's charity Rays of Sunshine, which grants wishes for seriously ill children in the UK aged 3-18.
Amongst the children to meet their idols were: Tilly (11) from Stoke on Trent who is living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Despite not being able to walk, she rides ponies, sails, ice-skates, and goes to ballet classes every week in her own dancing frame. Tilly is a huge 1D fan.
Rebecca (15) from Lancashire is living with Cystic Fibrosis, she is on 7 antibiotics and a whopping 50 tablets a day, as well as having daily physio and frequent trips to hospital.
Rebecca recently planned to attend one of their signings with her friends however had to attend another hospital visit so missed it.
