New cut made her Les Miserables… geddit? Ugh…
The thing is with hair that once you decide to chop it all off, you can’t unchop. Oh you may be thinking that we’re stating the bloody obvious here Sugarscapers, but believe you us, we’ve shed enough hair related tears to know it’s easy to forget.
It seems like Anne Hathaway also struggles with the concept of hair growing, not suddenly reappearing. She revealed on Live! With Kelly, that she was in a pretty bad way after dramatically cutting off her long brown hair for her role in Les Miserables.
"I was reduced to a mental patient level of crying … I was inconsolable," she said.
"I wasn’t expecting [cutting my hair] to be a big deal. It was my idea to do it, since it was something the character did. [Then] I realised I couldn’t take it back."
She added that getting rid of all her hair was more difficult than “doing back flips out of windows and jumping off of buildings".
Now however she has got used to her new look and even quite likes it. "I'm just so pleased with how I look, so I now quite like having short hair. I did it for a film, so it really wasn't about me and my security."
Check out the Les Mis trailer here where you see her rather unglam makeover happen.
What do you think of Anne’s hair; would you ever do something so dramatic if it meant to a part oin a really cool film?
