Tas spills the beans on her BINTM journey.
After finding herself in the bottom two for the second time this week, Tas was the latest girl to be eliminated from the Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model competition.
So naturally we caught up with Tas - who's currently spending some time with her family in Jamaica - to get all the gossip on why she thinks she got the chop, who she wants to win - and what she really thinks about the judges.
Can we get an ooooh, can we get an ahhhh. Thank you.
Hi Tas, you made it to week five of the competition - how disappointed were you to be eliminated?Oh of course I was really dissapointed, but I had sort of been expecting it because I was just super-inexperienced, I didn’t know what I was doing really! The other girls had much more experience or a bit more natural talent. I was in the bottom two like, every time. [laughs]
What made you enter the show?
Well, my friends kept saying I should do it, and a group of us went to the auditions. I didn’t expect to get far at all, and then suddenly I was in the final 20, it was crazy! But utimately I ended up being pretty confused the whole time. Just because of my lack of experience.
Did you learn a lot from the judges?
I learnt a lot, but I wouldn't say it was from the judges. Yes, they gave me some good critisism, but that was all really - we never really got one on one time. Elle didn't even really say anything to me after I was eliminated! The whole experience taught me a lot about myself though, and taught me how I react under pressure - so I am glad that I did it.
Some of the girls got very upset when it came to make over time - were you happy with your new look?
Oh yes, mine was very tame thankfully - if they'd tried to chop all my hair off I would have balled my eyes out!
What was it like living with all those girls in one house - did it get bitchy?
I think when you're all pushed together like that it's always going to get a bit catty, I think that sort of situation brings out the worst in people. But I'm a really chilled out person - I'm from the Carribean, so i was fine. Nobody really wanted to mess with me anyway! [laughs]
Which was your favourite photo shoot?
Probably the last one - I actually really liked it even though I was awful! When I was doing it I thought I had maybe done well, but obviously I hadn’t.
We still think you looked lovely! What was the worst part of the experience?
Just being filmed all the time. I found that really difficult, having no privacy and the pressure of being followed with a camera all the time – I didn’t expect the whole thing to be so full on! The cameras come in and wake you up and then you’re just working all day, there’s no break. It was tough.
Ok we've got a little quick-fire question round for you now, are you ready? If you couldn't be a be a model, what would you be?
I’m doing painting at University in London, so probably an artist.
If you could model for any brand, which would you choose?
I really love Ellie Saab, her dresses are beautiful, and then Alexander McQueen of course.
Did you fancy Tyson Beckford?
I got on well with him because we’re from the same hood – he’s from Jamaica also, so that was cool, but I didn’t really fancy him. He’s nice to look at though!
Who do you want to win?
I’d like Lisa or Roxy to win. They have a really great look and they both deserve it.
What are your plans for the future, now the BINTM journey is over?
I’m going to finish at uni and try to do really well at that, and carry on with modeling too, because I do really enjoy it. I love getting my make up done! I think if I could do it without all the cameras and time limits and things like that, that I’d get on better.
Well there you go - were you as unsurprised as Tas herself that she got the chop?
