This one has real science…
We don’t know about you but we’re getting a bit fed up of people telling us BB creams are going to change our lives.
We’ve tried a few, with varying results and we’re going to be honest with you… our lives (and beauty regimes) are still pretty much the same.
But in the name of beauty, as long as they keep coming up with new ones, we’ll keep slathering them on our face and telling you if they’re any good.
So find out what we thought of the L’Oréal Paris BB Cream below…
Price: £9.99 for 30ml
Packaging: The cream comes in a professional looking white tube. It has a slim nozzle so you can squeeze out a small amount of product at a time. We like the swank design, it wouldn’t look bad on our dressing table!
Product: When you squeeze the cream on to your hand it’s white with small specks of purple in it. But as you start to blend it into your skin, it seems to magically blend into your natural skin tone. The product is designed to be buildable so start with a small amount and add more if you want more coverage. Compared to other BB creams we’ve tried, the coverage is actually quite good. It feels nice and soft on the skin too.
What does it do? Well, it’s a 5 in 1 Bare Skin Beautifier that’s supposed to: give flawless coverage, perfectly even skin texture, fresh dewy glow, 24 hour hydration and protect with SPF12. We don’t know about all that but it does blend nicely into the skin tone. Jess tried the Medium skin tone and it blended well, but turned out very orange on other lighter skin tones. The cream is available in medium and light, so make sure you get the right shade!
Overall verdict: As far as BB creams go, this one is pretty good. Watching it blend in is pretty cool too, it’s like watching real science! But for the price, we’d rather get a good tinted moisturiser or foundation. We don’t really know when the lighter coverage of a BB cream is supposed to fit into our lives?
