Oh and Tulisa has a new name...
So what the hell went on?
Yet another week of X Factor auditions (hurry bootcamp, yeah?). It featured Geri Halliwell and Mel B as guest judges, and no Nicole Scherzinger again. Interesting? There was a familiar face, some hot lads, loads of tears and a really, really cute old lady. Not a great deal of drama though.
So was anyone actually any good?
Well yeah, there was a band called Times Red who Geri got a bit embarrassing mum over and will definitely be some eye candy for the laydees if they get through:
A lovely girl called Melanie who got through to the Judges’ Houses last year, only to be turned down by Kelly. She delivered a belter of a tune – surely she’s got to get further this year?
But hold on, there must have been a few oddballs?
Of course, but our favourite of them was a guy called Jason who was in love with Tulisha. Yes, that’s right Tulisha. We thought he was going to going to be a bit crap, but he started singing and was actually pretty awesome. Maybe he can be Tulisha’s next gangsta boyfriend.
Anyone have the judges in tears?
UM YES. 34 year old Christopher had wanted to audition for the show for five years but never had the confidence to. He was so nervous that we wanted to hug him and never let go. He also brought his nan along, who we also wanted to hug and never let go. Despite his nerves he delivered an incredible performance of The Rose by Bette Midler, and the judges were so overwhelmed that every X Factor cliché that’s ever existed occurred. We particularly liked Louis Walsh’s “a million per cent yes”.
Cringiest line of the night:
Geri to contestant called William: “William, like Will.i.am, right?”
William: “Just William.”
Reckon we saw any finalists?
No one really blew us away, but we’d quite like Melanie and Christopher to get through.
On a scale of Meh to AGH how good was the show tonight.
We’ll be honest it was a little bit Meh. The audition shows always go on a couple of weeks too long. At least we had you lot on Twitter and X Factor Bingo to keep us entertained. So thanks for that.
What did you think of tonight’s show?
