We caught up with Never Back Down movie star Sean Faris…

You might not have heard of Sean Faris yet but there is a good chance you will very soon. We predict that this yummy lad is going to be huge. His latest role in Never Back Down shows his sweet sensitive side as well as his ability to flex his perfectly formed pecs as he learns to fight after moving to a new high school.

When we heard that the gorgeous heart throb was coming to town we had a quick chat about celebrity crushes, female fans and his idea of the perfect girl. Could it be you? Find out below...

Never Back Down deals a lot with peer pressure. Were you ever bullied at school or pressured into something you didn’t want to do?
I think everyone who has ever been in high school has been in a peer pressure situation or has been bullied. I guess it’s a right of passage that we all go through teen aches and acting out.

Have you ever had any weird fan mail?
Yeah I have had some weird fan mail come through but you just take it as it comes and deal with it because it’s just going to happen no matter what. You don’t have a choice in the matter you do what you can. I do my best to make sure that I get back to my fans though.

Scene from Never Back Down

Are you getting much attention in London right now?
Not at all, not at all whatsoever. I absolutely love it because I can be normal. It’s a great question for me to answer because I came to Europe in January and I travelled all through Europe and only twice in a matter of three weeks did anyone ever come up to me. It was so nice to be able to be to just walk around and be an average Joe.

You do realise that you will be ogled at by millions of girls around the world in this film…especially with so many bare chest scenes…how do you cope with the attention?
I just take it day by day. I don’t know if there is an answer – I don’t know.

Chums: Kelly Osbourne

We know you best for your role in Life As We Know It – are you still in contact with Kelly Osbourne?
I spoke with Kelly last night; she’s actually heading off to Birmingham. She’s a wonderful girl and I am so happy for her because when we did Life As We Know It she was going through some issues and she’s really grown up into a wonderful woman. She’s such a sweet girl and I wish her nothing but the best.

What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
Wow that’s a big question. I like a girl that is just happy to hang out and relax, I like a girl who’s a girly girl who likes to go out and get dressed up but at the same time can just hang out in sweats and a t-shirt. I’m a very active person in my life, I like to get up and go and enjoy nature and go camping. A girl that can hang out with the guys and hang out with me and also someone who loves to cook because I love to cook – I love to spend time together cooking, it’s just wonderful. (Not much then!!!)

Do you have any celebrity crushes?
Honestly no. Sorry it’s boring but I don’t get caught up in the whole celebrity world. Actually…erm (hesitates).

Go on you can tell us?
Diane Lane is ridiculous. I’m not going to lie, she is amazing, but she’s a little out my league.

Celeb crush: Diane Lane

Lastly can you tell us why Sugarscapers should go and see the film?
Even though the movie is completely sold on the martial arts aspect there is a great coming of age story about this angry teen that grows up – he learns discipline and self-control. There’s also a wonderful bit of romance between my character Jake Tyler and Amber Heard’s character Baja. I think they would really enjoy to see the romance grow so don’t forget that there is a beautiful side to it all.

Never Back Down is out in cinemas nationwide now!
