Alright then fancy pants.

With the big bucks remake of The Great Gatsby set for release later this year, it's being reported that the movie soundtrack will be scored by none other than Jay-Z.

Jay-Z to score the soundtrack for movie remake of The Great Gatsby

It sounds like the all star cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan won't be the only big names involved and it's been hinted that Jay-Z has stepped up to produce the movie soundtrack. By which we mean announced in an unofficial manner.

But although it's yet to be confirmed, the rapper has apparently been working on a whole pile of tracks set to feature in the movie with production ensemble The Bullitts.

Taking to Twitter, Jeymes Samuel, who leads the group, said: "Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming CLASSIC 'The Great Gatsby. It is too DOPE for words!"

That could be Jay-Z the neighbourhood milkman, but we'd bet our Louis Tomlinson cutout that he meant the rapper.

It also wouldn't be all that surprising for him to be involved with the movie either, especially as his and Kanye West's No Church in the Wild has already been used to soundtrack one of the movie's trailers.

The film isn't set to hit cinemas until May, but what do you reckon? Can you see any rap getting in there?
