When stars get behind the wheel while under the influence, they have to pay.
Seems like every other day we hear a story about a celeb getting a DUI (driving under the influence), whether it's Nicole, Paris, Lindsay, or half the cast of Lost.
And when celebs get caught drinking and driving -- a big no-no -- they tend to get a lot of press, but they're not above the law and can't skip out on their punishment. Paris spent 24 days in Jail. Nicole spent just 82 minutes in jail, but is now taking driving classes. And Lost's Michelle Rodriguez spent 18 days in jail on a repeat offence.

This week, we have Mischa Barton, who was slapped with a DUI in LA in December and will likely accept a plea deal, sparing her any jail time, when she goes to court today. She'll probably be put on probation for three years, have to take an alcohol education class and pay a fine of about $1,700.
Since this is Mischa's first offence, her plea and punishment is quite common. And she seems to have learned her lesson. In January, she went on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and told him, "Obviously I'm 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case. I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it, except that I'm not perfect, and I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."

Barron Hilton, Paris's 18-year-old little bro and another first-time offender, was also in court this week for his February DUI. In the U.S., he's not even old enough to drink legally. He pleaded no contest to the charge and was placed on three years' probation, had his license taken away for a year and has to visit the L.A. County Morgue, just like Lindsay Lohan did as part of her DUI punishment.
