The 4 items to buy this season that won't go out of style...
Bay Garnett, celebrity stylist
Bay Garnett is one of the world's top celebrity stylists. Her clients include Mischa Barton, Chloe Sevigny and even Madame fashion herself, Kate Moss.
Bay has also written a book called Cheap Date, which is full of tips on how to find your own style -- she doesn't believe in following trends but making your own personality stand out.
We did manage to ask her about the key catwalk pieces this season -- items that she believes will last the test of time and remain fashionable in years to come. Here's her designer check list:
- Christian Louboutin square heeled shoes -- timeless classics!
- A Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf -- versatile and instant chic
- Anything from Balmain, the French label that exudes luxury
- Luella floral skirts and dresses -- so pretty even in winter with a cardie
Unless you're name is Victoria Beckham, it's unlikely that you'll be logging on to net-a-porter.com to buy your Louboutins and LV scarf, so we've found some amazing high street equivalents. Bay's feeling is not to OD on the high street, but to pick the best bits and mix and match with vintage finds.
- Christian Louboutin square heeled shoes

What we found...
While the square heels are very now, you may also want to keep that bright yellow but ditch the lift altogether. We found these flats by South for £12.50 in the Littlewoods catalogue and the heels at Dorothy Perkins for £22.
- Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf

What we found...
These scarves can give you Kate Moss's style for much less. The pink one is £9.99 from River Island and the more clasic-looking brown and bronze one is only £8 from Asos and is also available in grey and silver.
- Anything from Balmain

What we found...
You can capture Balmain's flirty, swingy, feel with a light, t-shirt-inspired dress like this £89 white one from Paul & Joe Sister (now on sale for £44.50 at La Redoute) or this fun, multi-patterned dress, which is £45 from French Connection.
- Luella floral skirts and dresses

What we found...
These two dresses from Asos perfectly capture the sweet, ditsy floral Luella look. The look on the left, with the wide belt and frilly while edging, costs £65, and the simpler, skinny belted look on the right costs ony £45.
Happy styling!
