A musical combo of dreams?
Cher Lloyd gets a lot of jip, let's be honest. She's constantly in the press being made out to have had a go at this person or to be being a bitch about something or other, and while we were pretty sure that it was all just a load of nonsense twisted around by some media-types, we were still slightly apprehensive on the way to meet her at her record label yesterday.
But once we got there and saw Cher for ourselves we knew all this chat was a load of codswollop. When we arrived at the offices we saw Cher and her boyfriend Craig walking around hand-in-hand and generally looking very sweet together, and he even came and sat in while Cher was chatting to us for support.
Cher was very sweet, so polite, and - can we just stress this - ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. She made us feel a bit like Johnny Vegas sitting down with her, and had some very good styling.
As we chatted to Cher we could tell that the hard time she's been given by the press in the past had affected her. Although she seemed to be answering our questions as openly and honestly as she could, there was (without sounding too pretentious) an air of defensiveness around her, as if she was anticipating us turning her words into something she didn't mean.
FEAR NOT CHER.
She seemed genuinely grateful and humbled by the love people have shown her for Swagger Jagger - as it still sits comfortably at the top of the UK iTunes chart, and admitting she "loves it when people tweet the lyrics, as it means they've taken the time to pay attention."
We also sang a bit of Over The Moon to her as it had been stuck in our heads all morning, and - bless her - she seemed to be pretty chuffed that we liked it but was probably dying inside at the sound of our singing voice really.
Anyway, one of the subjects we touched on was possibly working with One Direction in the future. Click next to see what Cher had to say about it...
