Is this already the end of Jedward?

We all know the music industry has zero money but today will go down in history as Black Tuesday, well for Jedward at least. The twins have been dropped by their record label Sony after only releasing one song – you haven’t forgotten all about Ice Ice Baby yet right?

The Vanilla Ice Cover only made it to number two, for most acts this would be a massive deal, but at Jedward’s label second best just doesn't cut it.

A source at Sony said: “We tried our best to make the lads credible artists but the punters just weren’t that bothered. I’m sure Jedward will be able to make a buck touring as a novelty act.

Novelty act? Ouch!

Let's remind ourselves of the boy's first (and last?) hit...

Their manager and dedicated supporter Louis Walsh is still going to helping the duo succeed. He said, "I'm completely committed to Jedward and I know they still have a great career ahead of them. The boys have a sell-out tour in Ireland that they start straight after The X Factor Tour in April and I am in talks with a major record label about a new deal for them."

We wonder if all those X Factor acts that Jedward managed to beat are feeling all that sympathetic...

Do you think it’s fair that the boys have been dropped from their label so soon – or maybe you reckon they shouldn’t have landed the deal in the first place? Whatever you think tell us about it here!
