We have done the most in depth analysis of the DVD and it's good. It's really good.
We were lucky enough to watch One Direction’s Up All Night tour DVD which, we’re not going to lie, was very exciting.
Therefore, we are now going to try and explain to you what happens and why, if you’re a Directioner, this should really be pride of place in your DVD collection.
So what’s it about then?
Well, as you can probably guess from the title, this is One Direction’s tour DVD, so there is a lot of singing, a lot of Larry and a whole lot of thrusting. They perform all their best songs and there is even some dancing too, so it really is a feast for the eyes and ears.
Anyone good in it?
Well, erm, OF COURSE THERE ARE GOOD PEOPLE IN IT. For fans of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, this is the DVD for you.
If it won any Oscars they would be for…
TOPLESS BITS. But we’ll explain about them in a minute.
Oh and the countdown to the lads coming on stage (which involved some beautiful shots mixed in with some facts about One Direction) is a great feature to have as we feel everyone can prepare themselves for impending ear drum/ovaries explosions.
But these bits should have been left on the cutting room floor:
Of course absolutely nothing should have been left on the cutting room floor because anything One Direction related is brilliant, but if we had to pick.. Aw who are we kidding, there were no rubbish bits that should have been taken out. It’s all good fun.
For anyone who has dreamed of seeing One Direction in their birthday suits (well, nearly) then this is the DVD for you. We timed the THREE SEPARATE MOMENTS WHEN ONE DIRECTION GET THEIR TOPS OFF and it lasts for around 45 seconds. Oh yes people, 45 seconds.
Actual ‘ohmygod I nearly wet myself laughing’ bits?
Louis’ thrusting was completely uncontrollable at times and we were worried soon he would have thrust his way into Harry’s back pocket. *ahem* Niall also found it hard to concentrate. On anything. His eyes were constantly darting about and it made us wonder how long his attention span is. Furthermore, Liam’s sudden realisation that he couldn’t read made us giggle.
Face-covering from fear bits?
Nothing made us cover our faces in fear, but we certainly covered our ears at certain points because the screaming was quite scary.
We can’t believe we’re about to say this, but we did actually cringe when the lads started bringing out the perfectly choreographed moves in What Makes You Beautiful. Lads, there is just no need, your faces make up for any movements you felt you had to do.
Notes from the fashion police:
All we think the fashion police would have said is why so many outfit changes? Don’t get us wrong though, we loved all the looks they went for, i.e. braces, varsity jackets, polo shirts, blazers and a bow tie.
Music maestros will love:
The fact that One Direction sing all their classic hits with some covers mixed in there. Up All Night was especially energetic (that song is where the majority of the thrusting went down) and Moments was definitely a highlight because Louis was loving it.
CRY-O-METER, what goes down?
We think the only bit that may have Directioners in tears is when One Direction leave the stage at the end of the show. There may also be tears shed (but of a slightly different kind) when Louis and Harry pat each other on the back at the exact same time. It’s like they’re connect or something. The Larry love obviously runs deep.
After watching this, on the manly-man scale (of Louis Tomlinson – Sylvester Stallone) we felt like:
Louis Tomlinson at a Cabaret. We certainly didn’t feel manly watching this DVD, but we sure as heck let our fangirl side run wild and free.
Final verdict: (OMG = amazing, LOL = funfest, MEH = would maybe watch again if nothing at all was on, FML = never, ever again)
Just for all you directioners, we’re going for OMG.
