We'd be more shocked if she wrote a song that wasn't
In the least shocking news you may hear today, notable popstar and serial dater Taylor Swift has admitted that her new single, I Knew You Were Trouble, is based upon her own experiences.
Harry Styles, you might want to take note.
It's fairly common knowledge that Swifty likes to slag off an ex-boyfriend using ther medium of a top ten hit, so we can't say we fell off our chair in shock when she made the revelation that the new track is based on one of the many exes in her life.
Speaking to MTV news, she said: "I had just gone through an experience that made me write this song about, like, knowing the second you see someone, 'Oh this is going to be interesting. It's going to be dangerous, but look at me going in there anyway'.
"I think that for me, it was the first time I ever kind of noticed that in myself. When you are curious about something you know might be bad for you but you know that you are going to go for it anyway because, if you don't, you'll have greater regrets about not seeing where that would go.
"My favourite thing [about the video] is that this girl not only gets sucked into this relationship with him but she loses who she was before and that's the saddest part of losing him, is that she can't remember who she was before she met him," she added.
That's all well and good Swifty, but can't you just hurry up tell us which of your famous boyfs it was all about already?
We're guessing John Mayer. Or Jake Gyllenhaal. Or Conor Kennedy, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner or even Father Christmas. He's a shifty one.
What do you think?
