Unfinished demo released in Amy's memory
Perhaps the most suitable way to pay tribute to the late Amy Winehouse is through music, and the first song dedicated to her has made its way onto the waves of the web.
M.I.A Tweeted a link to a haunting song that she recorded as a demo - but never finished - in tribute to Amy.
The lyrics "You said you'd be dead at 27 when we drunk in a English tavern, the owner poured you the Bourbon and you drunk yourself so rotten," ring spookily true in M.I.A's track that she later dedicated "to all my friends that died at 27."
"I recorded this song…and never put it out," M.I.A. Tweeted, posting a link to the song.
"Its a unfinished demo. R.I.P A.M.Y."
Amy's funeral is said to be taking place today, Tuesday July 26th, after a post-mortem and toxicology tests were carried out yesterday, but nothing has been confirmed.
No cause of death was identified from the post-mortem and the toxicology report could take up to another four weeks to come through.
